Smooth puppies at Netiv HaAyit

myrnash: I am putting a link here to some photos of some of the puppies from my current smooth litter. They are now just three months old, and are very nice - the mother is imported from the US, and the sire is a US Ch. and has working titles. The pedigree is also on the page with the photos. www.netivhaayitcollies.com/colliesnetivhaayit/id72.html Enjoy! Myrna

myrnash: The female might be available on a co-ownership - I like her very much, but have too many dogs here...She is also normal eye and MDR1 +/+.

Alertness: What beautidful puppies Myrna! I wish I could take the available puppy girl, but the Norwegian importing rules are too complicated and strict to import another one so soon. So I will have to be content for now with the puppy boy I imported from you a few weeks ago; he is the most lovely and the cutest of puppies, and so friendly! Berit

Jack Mack: oh, if only I could............ she would be a great addition to any kennel but as far as american smooths go here in Germany there is not much interest.

Alertness: Why would German breeders not be interested in American smooths? Berit

Tiina: Oh my God, half sister to my Pavel and living in Israel! World is small I might say

myrnash: Tiina, I would love to know details about your Pavel.

Tiina: ^ I sent you email :)

Lisa: I wonder about that - it doesnt seem as if you had any problems finding homes for your dogs... even though you have a lot of pups every year. And i hear a lot of american collies in germany, so i thought they are quite fashionable right now?

Jack Mack: Well, no, I never have problems to find good homes for my puppies but no german breeders are interested in half-american puppies, those that I have sold to breeders are all in other european countries. Although there is one new breeder that started with a daughter of Cozy, Multi Ch. Kimegan Cozy at Jack Mack, imp. USA Some of the american imports into Germany were because of their MDR1 status (3 puppies from the same litter) If puppies go as pets nobody asks where the parents come from, they must be sound inside and outside and that is what I get from my american bitches if I mate them to selected sires.

myrnash: There are problems here also with Americans as show dogs, both with smooths and roughs, and not so many breeders are interested. But it doesn't worry me, judges that are looking for soundness, movement, temperament do put up the Americans and American combinations. And for me, it is most important that my dogs can be wonderful pets and companions and excellent service dogs, and that they are sound and healthy, show is much less important. And they have had their successes - for example, my Kings Valley import has been twice Best in Specialty Show, once under the judge Dina Korna, who is a collie breeder and specialist.

Jack Mack: Myrna, we are searching for the same traits in our collies I think. And still we like beautiful collies, don't we? I am so proud on this judges report from Val Geddes for one of my latest puppies (7 months old) from my american import Ch. Byluc's Drama Queen ROM: Excellent! Beautiful type overall, well balanced with ex. substance, angulation and outline, good quality balanced head with excellent features, correct ears and eyes giving desired expression.

myrnash: What a super report! I very much respect Val Geddes' opinion, I have always liked her dogs, and think she is also looking for what we are looking for. She is open minded and looks for a good dog. She has also bred to American lines, and got some very nice results from the combination. Of course we are also looking for a beautiful collie! We are looking for the perfect collie!
